An activity step is a single screen or page of information within a path activity. Steps can contain text, images, a discussion board, and video, or any combination of these. Steps can also be layered so that as a user advances, they are shown a new block of text or discussion question without advancing to another step.
Discussion steps can be assigned a minimum word count value of high, medium, or low. This requirement prevents students from submitting a response to a discussion question until they’ve entered a specific number of words.
