EduGuide’s website has the ability to detect tricks that students may use to get past the path system’s minimum word requirement. Common tricks include typing in gibberish or nonsensical words, and entering in a series of repeated words.
The site will pop up a message when it detects attempts to get passed the minimum word requirement. The student will be prompted to edit their response and they will have to submit it again. If a student posts the response two or more times in a row, the site will show them a message which will ask them to edit their response.
