A team is a community within EduGuide’s website where coaches can communicate, manage members, coordinate the mentoring of students, review documents, and navigate to related features or pages such as Metrics or the team setup page.
A team’s capability will vary depending on how it has been set up. On EduGuide.org, there are two types of teams: Professional, and Core Learning. Both types of teams have access to team setup, goals, a team library, member and coach management, group management and a dashboard. Core Learning teams also include a Metrics page and typically include a subscription to EduGuide’s paths.
User Roles
Within teams, there are five user roles: Admin Coach, Lead Coach, Support Coach, Member, and Restricted Member. The first four users are given access to the team pages, but have different privileges based on their purpose. Students are assigned the user role of Restricted Member, and are not able to access team pages.
Email Notifications
Members of the team will receive an email notifications for posts or comments posted on the team dashboard, new resources posted to the library, a goal which has been assigned to them, or whenever a new member joins the team.
