On EduGuide.org, a cheer is a quick way to give another member recognition for a job well done, or to show support. You can send a cheer anywhere that you see the thumbs-up icon. This includes the Metrics page, team dashboard, and goals.

Submitting a Cheer in Metrics

In the Metrics page and zoomed in view for students, when you click on the thumbs-up icon the user’s cheer count will increase.

Submitting a cheer on the Team Dashboards

On the team dashboard, goal pages, team library, and personal dashboards, you can include a special icon with your cheer. Click on the link labeled “Cheer.” A modal will appear giving you the option of including either a message, an icon, or both with your cheer. Indicate your preference, and then click “Submit.” Their cheer count will also increase each time that someone clicks on the link.

Cheer Notifications

When you send another member a cheer, they will be informed via email. The email notification will identify you as the sender of the cheer and, if available, will display your message and selected image. The recipient of your cheer can also click a link if they would like to view the cheer on the site.
